During my tenure with View Hotels ahs housekeeping was engaged to provide room attendants, public area attendants, supervision and housekeeping management to our Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane hotels under a long standing arrangement. In fact our Melbourne hotel had been a client of ahs for 20+ years, which is extremely unusual in this industry. I quickly came to the realisation that the strength of the relationship was driven at three levels. Firstly, each hotel had an experienced executive housekeeper who knew their respective hotels top to bottom. Secondly, the room attendants who are tasked with one of the toughest jobs in this business were dedicated, thorough and consistent in their work. And finally, the ahs regional support team actively engaged with each hotel GM and collaborated on new projects and initiatives to the benefit of both parties. We embraced our out-sourced colleagues and made them feel part of the hotel family which enabled us to achieve quality scores that consistently out-performed our competitors.
